The incident which took place at 5:15 p.m. involved an SUV and a Toyota Highlander.
The Santa Clarita Valley Signal confirmed that the one of the drivers hit a vehicle as it made a left-hand turn.
The Toyota Highlander rolled over following impact ultimately coming to rest of its roof trapping all parties inside. The fire emergency rescue team had to cut open the vehicle to remove each of the patients inside.
A total of four victims were injured, three of them who required transportation to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital.
California Highway Patrol officials are currently investigating the incident as they have not come to a conclusion which vehicle caused the collision and will be held at fault.
