4 Injured in Highway 101 Crash, Winchester Canyon in Goleta
2-Vehicle Rollover Collision on Highway 101
SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. (Oct. 8, 2024) — A two-vehicle crash Monday night on Highway 101 at Winchester Canyon in Goleta left four people with injuries.
The collision between a pickup truck and a sedan happened around 8 p.m. on Oct. 7th, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the northbound side of the freeway where they located an overturned pickup truck on its roof on the side of the roadway. There was also a sedan in the center median.
They located four people including two children from one of the vehicles with minor injuries.
All four were transported by ambulances to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, the report said.
Meanwhile, the driver and only occupant from the second vehicle declined medical treatment.
Police closed down the northbound lanes of the 101 to clear debris and investigate the cause of the crash.
The crash investigation is being handled by the California Highway Patrol.
