Violent Collision in Upland
UPLAND, Calif. (June 28, 2024) — Four men died early Friday in a high-speed pursuit crash in Upland at North Mountain Avenue and West 16th Street.
The violent collision occurred just before 2 a.m. at the Upland intersection, according to the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department and CBS News.
A Rancho Cucamonga sheriff’s deputy attempted to make a traffic stop, but the driver in a black vehicle fled and a pursuit began with the suspect leading police into Upland. The car eventually crashed into a white sedan and four people were confirmed dead. The four who died were all riding in the suspect’s vehicle. Two others were injured from the second vehicle and taken to a hospital.
The suspect’s black vehicle was split in half and the white sedan had major front-end damage.
Investigators closed down the intersection and are working on the case.
