4-Vehicle Crash Antelope Valley 14 Freeway, Newhall Ave in Santa Clarita

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (Sept. 1, 2026) — A four-vehicle crash happened Tuesday morning on the southbound Antelope Valley 14 Freeway near Newhall Avenue in Santa Clarita.
At least one person was treated for minor injuries following the crash, which blocked multiple lanes during the morning commute. The collision was reported at approximately 6:39 a.m. on Sept. 1, 2026, on southbound SR-14 at Newhall Avenue.
According to California Highway Patrol dispatch information, four vehicles were involved in the crash. A 63-year-old male driver in a silver Honda was reported to be experiencing neck and knee pain following the collision.
Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel were requested to respond to the scene. The California Highway Patrol’s Freeway Service Patrol reported that the crash was blocking the No. 1 and No. 2 lanes.
Tow trucks were requested to remove the disabled vehicles, with one tow service responding with equipment to assist with the cleanup.
By approximately 7:41 a.m., the roadway had been cleared, and CHP subsequently classified the incident as a traffic collision involving minor injuries. The incident remained open for final coding at 8:10 a.m.
The circumstances leading to the four-vehicle crash were not immediately available. No additional information about the injured person was released.
