School Bus, 3 Vehicles Crash on I-5 Freeway
MISSION VIEJO, Calif. (Nov. 7, 2023) — A multi-vehicle Mission Viejo crash involving a school bus happened Tuesday on the southbound Interstate 5 Freeway, just north of Crown Valley Parkway.
The four-vehicle collision occurred in the slow lanes at around 8:02 a.m. on Nov. 7th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a silver Hyundai SUV, a silver Honda van an orange Ford F-150 pickup truck and a school bus were involved.
Paramedics responded to help at least one person with minor injuries, but there are no further details. It’s unknown if any students were aboard the bus at the time of the collision.
Tow trucks removed at least two of the vehicles including the Hyundai SUV and the pickup truck due to major front-end damage.
Finally, investigators are working to determine fault for the Mission Viejo crash on the 5 Freeway.
