4-Vehicle Crash on State Route 79, Gilman Springs Road in Beaumont
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, Calif. (Sept. 1, 2026) — A four-vehicle crash on State Route 79 near Gilman Springs Road Tuesday morning left at least one person with minor injuries and temporarily blocked traffic lanes.
The collision was reported at approximately 7:22 a.m. on Sept. 1, 2026, on SR-79 northbound near Gilman Springs Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
According to CHP dispatch information, the vehicles were reported to be blocking lanes following the collision.
Fire crews responded to the scene, and the incident was later transferred to CAL FIRE for handling. Two tow trucks were requested to remove vehicles involved in the crash.
By approximately 8:33 a.m., all lanes had reopened. CHP subsequently changed the incident classification from a traffic collision requiring a response to a traffic collision involving minor injuries.
Dispatch information indicated that the involved vehicles had their own roadside assistance arrangements, with the drivers making towing arrangements through their respective services.
The circumstances surrounding the crash and the identities and conditions of those injured were not immediately available.
