Pedestrians Hospitalized After Hit-and-run Crash
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Oct. 23, 2024) – A hit-and-run driver struck five pedestrians on West Eighth Street near MacArthur Park in the Westlake area of Los Angeles.
The collision occurred at around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22nd, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Firefighters responded to a call about a pedestrian accident in the 2300 block of West Eighth Street, near MacArthur Park, the report said.
A driver struck the family of five including two adults and three teenagers due to unknown circumstances, the LAFD reported.
Paramedics transported all five people to a hospital. One was listed in serious condition and the other four were in fair condition, the report said.
There was no description of the motorist who fled the scene, but the case remains under investigation.
