Multi-Vehicle Crash Involving Minor Injuries

ANTIOCH, Calif. (August 25, 2023) — A five-vehicle Antioch car accident happened Tuesday on Highway 4 at the Somersville Road exit.

The multi-vehicle crash led to a temporary closure of the eastbound Highway 4 following the collision around 3:05 p.m. on Tuesday, August 22nd, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded with CHP officers to the highway.

They located the motorists involved on both sides of the highway and it included a pest control truck, Contra Costa News reports. The truck was possibly leaking some unknown fluids into the roadway.

Fire officials confirmed that there were multiple people with minor injuries, but they only transported one person to a hospital by ambulance.

Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Antioch accident on Highway 4.
