8 Injured in Car Accident on I-8 Freeway in San Diego
SAN DIEGO (May 30, 2024) — A multi-vehicle crash happened on the Interstate 8 Freeway Wednesday afternoon near Hotel Circle in Mission Valley.
The 5-vehicle traffic accident occurred at around 12 p.m. on May 29th, according to the California Highway Patrol and Fox 5 San Diego News.
CHP officers and San Diego Fire-Rescue responded to the crash scene in the westbound lanes of the freeway and located several people with injuries.
Meanwhile, at least one person sustained major injuries and eight people in total were transported to a hospital, the report said.
Traffic backed up for several miles as some of the lanes were blocked by vehicles.
Finally, investigators are working to determine liability for the crash on the Interstate 8 Freeway in Mission Valley.
