1 Hospitalized After Multi-Vehicle Crash in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (May 30, 2018) — Six-vehicles were involved in an injury crash Tuesday night that caused a traffic jam in the westbound lanes of the San Diego-Coronado Bridge, according to the San Diego Union Tribune.
The crash took place about 5:50 p.m. last night during the evening commute. Several vehicles were sideways and blocking a couple of the traffic lanes bound to Coronado after the crash.
One person was taken to the hospital for undisclosed injuries suffered in the crash involving a motorcycle and five other motorists.
Additionally, the bridge’s moveable barrier system known as the zipper was damaged. This system allows for the reconfiguration of traffic lanes depending on traffic flow.
California Accident Investigation
Police are investigating this collision to determine the cause and liability. At this time, it appears that one or two drivers may be held responsible. It’s unknown whether this crash could have been prevented or whether any traffic violations were a factor. Police will eventually issue a report with their findings of liability.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to those who were hurt.
If a negligent driver or another entity is at fault for a collision resulting in injuries to you or a loved one, there may be grounds for a personal injury or wrongful death claim. Oftentimes, an injured person is at a disadvantage when they try to negotiate directly with an insurance adjuster. Particularly in a case where multiple drivers could be responsible. That’s why it’s important to have an experienced attorney who will fight for you and ensure your legal rights are protected.
While this is always a personal decision, for many the financial losses associated with a traffic accident are significant.
If you, or your loved one, have been hurt in a California traffic accident, we urge you to contact Johnson Attorneys Group today and speak with one of our experienced personal injury lawyers to help you.
