COVINA, California (October 23, 2016) – Several parties, including 7 children, sustained injuries after a small-scale train ride overturned on Rancho Culebra Drive Saturday afternoon, according to an article by SGV Tribune.
At around 2:10 p.m. in the 2100 block of a residential neighbourhood, the train ride hired for a child’s birthday party flipped over while traveling down a hill.
The occupants spilled off the ride into the street. Among the occupants who sustained injuries from the crash were–seven children between three and seven years old, and two adults.
It was not clear whether some from the involved were hospitalized but the officers affirmed the victims sustained only minor injuries such as abrasions and bruises.
No immediate information was provided on the train operator.
Due to several factors surrounding the accident remain unclear, investigation is ongoing.
