7-Vehicle Boyle Heights Crash Interstate 5 Freeway, Esperanza Street
6 Injured in Collision near Santa Ana Freeway
BOYLE HEIGHTS, Calif. (Jan. 12, 2024) -A seven-vehicle crash left six people injured Thursday night on the Interstate 5 Freeway in Boyle Heights.
The traffic accident occurred at around 11:50 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 12th on the northbound Santa Ana Freeway at Esperanza Street, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The report did not mention what vehicles were involved, nor what led up to the collision.
Meanwhile, paramedics responded and rushed four of the six people with injuries to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. However, two of them declined an ambulance transport to the hospital.
Tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles from the roadway.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the Boyle Heights crash on the 5 Freeway.
