LOS ANGELES, Calif. (April 7, 2025) – At least nine pedestrians were injured when a grey minivan drove into a crowd of people on 12th Street near Santee Alley in the Fashion District in downtown Los Angeles.

The mass casualty incident occurred at around 3:15 p.m. on Sunday, April 6th, near 326 East 12th Street, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Paramedics responded and identified nine patients who were listed in “fair condition” including three boys ages 8, 11, and 17 years old, the report said.

Among those injured were two 23-year-old women who were released against medical advice, the report said. Meanwhile, four other women ages 54, 65, 30, and 23 years old were transported with the three boys to a hospital.

The minivan reportedly had front-end damage and came to rest under a collapsed patio.
