Man Struck and Killed in Upland

UPLAND, Calif. (June 21, 2023) — Raul Alvarez, 60, of Chino, died Monday in a pedestrian accident in Upland at Foothill Boulevard at Hospital Parkway.

The collision occurred around 9:53 p.m. on Monday, June 19, 2023, the Upland Police Department said.

Police responded to the intersection where they located the pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle in the roadway. They closed down Foothill Boulevard in both directions due to the collision.

Paramedics were also at the scene and transported Raul J. Alvarez to San Antonio Regional Hospital where he later died at 10:28 p.m. the same day, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner.

There is no information about the driver involved in the crash at this time.

Meanwhile, the Upland Police Department is heading up the investigation to determine fault for the Upland pedestrian accident on Foothill Boulevard.
