Fatal Accident Interstate 5 Freeway, Walnut Grove Road

2 Vehicle Collision Resulted in Death of Passenger

Stockton, Calif. (June 30th, 2023) —  A fatal car accident happened Friday morning on the Interstate 5 Freeway, on Walnut Grove Road in Stockton California.

The collision occurred about  4:06 a.m. on June 30th, near Walnut Grove Road in San Joaquin County according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.

A semi truck and a sedan crashed this morning leaving the vehicles and the debris from the cars as major traffic hazards along the I-5 North. Another semi truck who witnessed the collision stopped and turned on their hazards to help aid traffic from the accident. The driver of the semi truck was reported to only have minor injuries. The driver of the sedan, sadly passed away due to the collision.

The paramedics were called and arrived to help those injured. The fire department was summoned to help with the crash as well. Tow trucks were called to remove the abundant pieces of debris from the highway additionally with the totaled vehicles.

Investigators are working to find more facts about the case, in addition with determining who is at fault.
