Alexander Verhoeven Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Highway 99 in Sacramento
Redlands Man, 27, Killed in Sacramento Collision
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Alexander James Verhoeven, 27, of Redlands, died Thursday night in a motorcycle accident on Highway 99 near 12th Avenue in Sacramento.
The deadly crash occurred on the northbound State Route 99 around 10:30 p.m. on August 10th, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff Coroner.
Multi-Vehicle Crash on State Route 99
The young man was riding a motorcycle that apparently crashed into the back of a 2016 Acura, ABC 10 News reports. The rider was thrown off the bike into traffic lanes where several other motorists hit him in the roadway.
Traffic investigators with the CHP’s South Sacramento station responded and located the victim as well as several motorists who stopped after the crash on the roadside.
Meanwhile, investigators were told by witnesses the motorcyclist was allegedly changing lanes when he crashed into the back of the vehicle. The Sacramento County Sheriff Coroner identified the victim as Alexander Verhoeven.
