2-Vehicle Crash on State Route 76

PALA MESA, Calif. (August 25, 2023) — A big rig truck collided with a pickup in an accident on Highway 76 and Horse Ranch Creek Road in Pala Mesa.

The collision occurred about 1:09 p.m. on August 25th, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.

A driver in a big rig truck was reportedly turning a corner and collided into the white Ford F-150 pickup truck. One person became trapped in the pickup with major injuries.

Paramedics responded and transported at least one injured person to Palomar Medical Center for treatment of undisclosed major injuries.

Meanwhile, tow trucks removed both damaged vehicles from the roadway.

Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Pala Mesa accident on Highway 76.
