Man Struck by Vehicle in Willowbrook Identified

WILLOWBROOK, Calif. (Sept. 6, 2023) – Arturo Gonzalez, 62, is identified as the victim of a fatal pedestrian accident Sunday night on Imperial Highway in unincorporated Willowbrook.

The deadly collision occurred around 9:13 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 3rd over the Labor Day weekend, according to the Los Angeles County Medical-Examiner’s office. He suffered major injuries in the crash and died at the scene at Imperial Highway and Compton Avenue, according to MyNewsLA.

The California Highway Patrol reported a driver struck Arturo Gonzalez in the 1600 block of Imperial Highway due to unknown circumstances.

However, it’s unknown at this time if the vehicle’s driver remained at the scene or if there were any others injured in the crash.

The case remains under investigation by the CHP to determine liability.
