Children Among Injured in Car Accident on Cooper Road

SALINAS, Calif. (Sept. 28, 2023) — One person is dead and three others were injured after a crash on Cooper Road near McFadden Road in Salinas.

The two-vehicle collision occurred near 201-299 Cooper Road around 6:46 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 28th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported the drivers of a gold Honda and a grey Honda Civic were involved. The gold Honda wound up in a field and the grey Honda was blocking the roadway.

Three people were injured in the crash and one person died. Children were among the injured and the most seriously injured were airlifted to a hospital from a location in Marina.

Tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles and investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the crash on Cooper Road in Salinas.
