Motorcyclist Injured in Sonoma Crash on Carneros HIghway 12, SR-121

SONOMA, Calif. (Oct. 4, 2023) — A motorcycle and SUV were involved in a traffic accident on Fremont Drive also known as Carneros Highway 12 and Napa Road in Sonoma.

The two-vehicle crash occurred at the intersection where State Route 12 and 121 meet around 8:49 a.m. on Oct. 4th, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch. The 3-way intersection is controlled by traffic lights in all directions as well as left-hand turn signals.

A driver in a red GMC Yukon SUV collided with a Harley Davidson motorcycle at the intersection due to unknown circumstances, the report said. The rider went down in the roadway and sustained undisclosed injuries.

Paramedics responded to help the injured rider, but it’s unknown if the person was hospitalized.

Meanwhile, a tow truck removed the Harley Davidson bike from the roadway.

Investigators are working on the case and closed down the intersection.
