Two Men Killed in Crash on Magnolia Avenue, 22 Freeway

GARDEN GROVE, Calif. (Nov. 2, 2023) — Britney Marie Perez, 37, is facing second-degree murder charges after two men died Monday in a crash on Magnolia Avenue in Garden Grove.

The deadly, multi-vehicle collision occurred at around 4:35 p.m. on Oct. 30th, according to MyNewsLA.

Police say the 37-year-old woman was driving her vehicle eastbound on the Garden Grove 22 Freeway when she exited and entered an intersection on Magnolia Avenue. She reportedly collided with three other vehicles as she failed to complete a turn. One of them was a small compact car traveling northbound on Magnolia Avenue. It was occupied by two men in their 40s.

Orange County Fire Authority paramedics responded and located both men trapped in the vehicle and they were pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Meanwhile, Britney Marie Perez is now facing two counts of second-degree murder

Police officials continue to investigate the circumstances of the fatal Garden Grove crash.
