Disneyland Guests Injured on Main Street USA, Lamp Post Falls on 3 People
One Hospitalized After Wind Knocks Down Street Light at Town Square
ANAHEIM, Calif. (Nov. 21, 2023) — Three Disneyland visitors were injured Monday when strong winds knocked down a lamp post on Main Street USA at the Anaheim theme park.
The incident occurred at around 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 20th, according to the Orange County Register.
The lamp post was one of several situated in a flowerbed around the Disneyland flagpole along Main Street when it fell and struck three people. An elderly woman sustained serious injuries when she was struck in the head by the lamp post
Paramedics with Anaheim Fire And Rescue responded and transported the elderly woman to a hospital. Two others were treated for minor injuries at the scene.
The report did not mention the specific ages of those injured by the falling lamp post.
Disneyland removed the lamp post just after 10 a.m. and blocked off the area of Town Square where the incident occurred.
