Motorcyclist, Passenger Killed in West Covina Crash ID’d

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Nov. 28, 2023) – Malerie Santos and Adrian Fuentes both died when their motorcycle and two vehicles collided on Thanksgiving Day on Amar Road in West Covina.

Santos and Fuentes, who were both 20 years old, died at the crash scene around 5:10 p.m. on Nov. 23rd, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.

The motorcycle rider and his female passenger were involved in a collision with a sedan and an SUV on Amar Road and Westport Street.

The West Covina police and fire departments responded to the scene, but were unable to save the two young people from the motorcycle. Meanwhile, the occupants from the car and SUV were treated for minor injuries.

The motorcycle was likely traveling westbound on Amar Road when the collision occurred, according to one report.

Investigators with the West Covina Police Department Major Accident Investigation Team are working to determine fault for the fatal motorcycle accident on Amar Road.

The families of Malerie Santos and Adrian Fuentes have Gofundme pages to cover funeral costs for the young couple.
