SUV Overturns on I-15 Freeway in San Diego

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (Nov. 29, 2023) — A rollover crash happened Wednesday morning on the northbound Interstate 15 Freeway at Scripps Poway Parkway and Mercy Road.

The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 4:10 a.m. on Nov. 29th, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.

CHP officials reported the drivers of a dark blue Mazda CX5 SUV and a second SUV were involved. The Mazda overturned onto its roof during the crash and wound up near the center divider in the fast lane.

It’s unknown at this time what led up to the accident.

Both vehicles required a tow truck due to damage from the collision.

Investigators are working to determine fault for the rollover crash on the 15 Freeway.
