Bicyclist Injured in Crash on State Route Highway 20

NICE, Calif. (Dec. 15, 2023) — A bicycle accident happened Friday morning on State Route Highway 20 and Howard Street near the New Marina Market in Nice.

The car versus bicycle accident occurred at around 10:50 a.m. on Dec. 15th in Lake County, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported a driver in a silver Honda Accord struck a person riding the bicycle due to unknown circumstances. The police dispatch mentioned an elderly man was on the right shoulder, but it’s unknown if that was the rider or driver from the car.

Paramedics responded to help the injured rider, but there are no further details.

Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the bicycle accident on State Route Highway 20 in Nice.
