Man, 54, Killed in Crash Near San Bernardino Intersection

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (Dec. 21, 2023) — A fatal pedestrian accident happened Saturday morning on West 5th Street, just east of North Mount Vernon Avenue in San Bernardino.

The deadly crash occurred at around 1:54 a.m. on Saturday, December 9th, according to a press release by the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner.

San Bernardino Police Dept. officers responded to the 1200 block of West 5th Street and located a 54-year-old Hispanic man with major injuries. The victim died within a few minutes of the crash at 2:08 a.m. the same day, the report said.

The San Bernardino Police Department is heading up the investigation into what happened.
