Motorcycle Accident Highway 99 in Mettler, Kern County

Major Injury Motorcycle Crash on State Route 99

KERN COUNTY, Calif. (Dec. 29, 2023) — A two-vehicle motorcycle accident happened Friday afternoon on the southbound Highway 99 in the unincorporated Mettler area of Kern County.

The major injury collision occurred at around 8:21 p.m. on Dec. 28th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported a blue Subaru Crosstrek collided with the motorcyclist due to unknown circumstances on Golden State Highway (SR-99).

Paramedics responded and located the motorcyclist suffering from major injuries. The rider was transported by ambulance to Kern County Medical Center.

Police are working to determine fault for the motorcycle accident on Highway 99.
