Elias Johnson Fatal Pedestrian Accident on New Year’s Eve at Western Avenue

Pedestrian Killed in Hit-And-Run in Lomita Area

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Jan. 3, 2024) – Elias Johnson, 26, died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Western Avenue near 247th Place in the Lomita area on New Year’s Eve.

The victim was reportedly hit by three motorists while he was crossing the roadway at around 11 p.m. on Dec. 31st, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The young man, who is believed to be homeless, died at the scene of the collision. He was identified as Elias Johnson by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner. At this time, there is no description of any of the vehicles involved.

However, the city of Los Angeles has a standing reward of up to $50,000 for anyone with information that helps solve a hit-and-run fatality crash.
