Minor Injury Collision at Modesto Intersection

MODESTO, Calif. (Jan. 10, 2024) — A minor injury Modesto car accident happened Wednesday at Milnes Road and Santa Fe Avenue.

The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 9:24 a.m. on Jan. 10th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported the drivers of a white Ford F-250 pickup truck and a Chevrolet sedan were involved. The pickup truck also crashed into a power pole near the intersection, the report said. The pole became stuck in the truck after the collision.

Paramedics responded to help at least one person with minor injuries and transport them to a hospital, but there are no further details.

Meanwhile, tow trucks removed the pickup truck due to major front-end damage and the Chevrolet with left-side damage. Also, the city of Modesto was contacted to repair traffic lights in the area after they were blacked out from the crash.

Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Modesto accident on Milnes Road.

There were 1,726 injury and fatality crashes in Modesto in 2020, according to the Office of Traffic Safety. Statistics also show that 174 of these collisions involved speed and 203 involved alcohol consumption as factors.
