3-Vehicle Crash Walnut Street, West 3rd Street in Chico
CHICO, Calif. (Feb. 15, 2024) — A crash resulted in the arrest of a DUI suspect early Thursday at Walnut Street and West 3rd Street in Chico.
A suspected DUI driver allegedly set off the crash at around 2 a.m. on Feb. 15th, according to Action News Now.
Connor Duggan, 24, was allegedly driving recklessly in the downtown area and police attempted to pull him over on West 3rd Street, but he reportedly drove through a traffic light at Walnut Street and crashed into a parked minivan in a parking lot at Dragon Tobacco. The minivan reportedly overturned onto its roof in front of the business.
The driver and a passenger both exited the vehicle and fled on foot, but were both apprehended by police and Duggan was arrested on DUI charges.
It’s unknown if the driver and passenger were injured or taken to a hospital.
