Motorcyclist Injured in Crash on I-15 Freeway in San Diego

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (March 27, 2024) — A major injury motorcycle accident happened Wednesday morning on the northbound Interstate 15 Freeway, just south of Aero Drive in San Diego.

The two-vehicle crash occurred at around 6:45 a.m. on March 27th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported a driver in a Mazda and a motorcyclist collided on the freeway and the rider went down in traffic lanes.

The motorcycle rider sustained major injuries and paramedics responded to transport the person to a hospital.

Meanwhile, authorities closed down the Nos. 1, 2 and 3 lanes of the freeway to conduct an investigation into the cause of the crash and liability.
