Serjio Leon, Maria Ayers Fatal Crash Parlier Avenue, Buttonwillow Avenue
2 Killed in Fresno County Car Accident Identified
FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (March 27, 2024) — Maria Ayers, 40, and her passenger, Serjio Medina Leon, 58, both died in a crash at Parlier Avenue and Buttonwillow Avenue in Fresno County.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 3:30 p.m. on Monday, March 25th, according to ABC 30 News.
Maria Ayers was driving a Ford Focus when she allegedly rolled through a stop sign at the Fresno County intersection, just outside of Reedley, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The car moved into the path of an oncoming driver in a Ford F-150 pickup truck that was also pulling a trailer, the report said.
Paramedics responded to help the two occupants from the Ford Focus, but Serjio Leon died at the scene and Maria Ayers died in an ambulance on her way to the hospital.
There were no other injuries reported at the time of the collision.
The case remains under investigation.
