Minor Injury Collision on SR-140 in Mariposa

MARIPOSA, Calif. (June 10, 2024) — A Mariposa pedestrian accident involving minor injuries happened Monday morning on State Route 140 at Coakley Circle.

The collision occurred on Central Yosemite Highway at around 11:28 a.m. on June 10th, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.

CHP officials report a silver SUV struck a pedestrian due to unknown circumstances.

The driver apparently moved out of the roadway and stopped.

Paramedics are responding to the scene to help the injured pedestrian, but it’s unknown if the person will be taken to a hospital.

Finally, the California Highway Patrol is heading up the investigation.
