2-Vehicle Head-on Collision on Highway 49

AUBURN, Calif. (June 10, 2024) — A head-on crash in Auburn happened Monday afternoon on Grass Valley Highway 49 at Joeger Road in Placer County.

The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 3 p.m. on June 10th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials report the vehicles involved are a white Chevrolet Tahoe SUV and a blue Dodge pickup truck. However, the report does not mention what caused the accident. The airbags in both vehicles deployed upon impact.

Additionally, the SUV and pickup truck were blocking both northbound lanes of State Route 49.

Paramedics responded to help those injured, but there are no specific details at this time.

Investigators from the CHP station are working to determine fault for the crash on Grass Valley Highway 49.
