A Vehicle Overturned in Crash on State Route 51

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (August 13, 2024) — A multi-vehicle car accident occurred on State Route 51, near the Interstate 80 Highway in Sacramento California.

The traffic accident occurred at around 12:13 PM on Tuesday afternoon on August 13th 2024, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A white Dodge truck and a dark grey sedan collided causing a hazard in the Nos. 1 and 2 traffic lanes of the highway. A white Honda Accord was reportedly involved in the accident and overturned onto its roof. Witnesses said that the white Honda Accord rolled several times following the initial impact and the passengers involved were checked out by medics. CHP reported that the reason for the traffic accident was because traffic on the highway came to a sudden stop.

Paramedics responded and located those with injuries and transported them to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries.

Investigators are working to determine who is at fault for the Sacramento car accident on the State Route 51 Highway.
