Fatal Lake Elsinore Pedestrian Accident on Highway 74, Ardenwood Way

Man Struck and Killed at Lake Elsinore Intersection

LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. (Sept. 6, 2024) — A fatal Lake Elsinore pedestrian accident happened Thursday night on Highway 74 at Ardenwood Way.

The collision occurred at around 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 5th, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.

A woman driving the vehicle struck a man in the westbound lanes and someone called 911 for help. The driver pulled over to the right shoulder and was crying.

Paramedics from Cal Fire Riverside responded and located the man’s body in the westbound lanes of the roadway, but despite efforts to save him he died on scene.

A tow truck removed the damaged vehicle for evidence and investigators are working to determine liability for the pedestrian accident on Highway 74.
