Matthew Chavol Killed Pedestrian Accident at Reseda and Victory Boulevards

Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle in Reseda Identified

RESEDA, Calif. (Oct. 8, 2024) – Matthew Behrooz Chavol, 68, died in a pedestrian accident Friday while crossing Reseda and Victory boulevards in Reseda.

The 68-year-old Panorama City man was hit by an oncoming vehicle at around 9 p.m. on Oct. 4th, according to a report by the Los Angeles Police Department ‘s West Valley Division.

LAPD officers and Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the intersection and located the victim in the roadway where he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner later identified the man as Matthew Chavol.

Meanwhile, the driver who struck the pedestrian stopped and cooperated with the investigation by the LAPD’s Valley Traffic Division.
