Motorcyclist Killed in South LA Crash

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Nov. 4, 2024) – A driver making a left-hand turn collided with a motorcyclist Sunday night at Figueroa and 89th Streets in the Vermont Vista area of Los Angeles.

The young man riding the motorcycle suffered fatal injuries and died at the hospital, the report said.

The motorcycle versus car crash happened around 9:17 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3rd, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Apparently the northbound vehicle was traveling along Figueroa Street when the driver turned left onto 89th Street into the path of an oncoming southbound green Suzuki GSX-R motorcycle.

The motorcyclist collided with the vehicle at a high rate of speed and the rider suffered major injuries.

Paramedics transported the injured motorcyclist to a hospital where he later died, police said.

The identity of the motorcycle rider has not been released.
