Los Angeles Man, 20, Killed in Crash on I-15 Freeway

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (Nov. 26, 2024) — Martin Torres, 20, of Los Angeles, died in a rollover crash on the northbound Interstate 15 Freeway near La Mesa/Nisqualli Road in Victorville.

The traffic accident occurred around 4:08 p.m. on Nov. 23rd and the young man was identified by the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office.

CHP officials reported a blue sedan was southbound on Mariposa Road when it overturned several times and crashed through a perimeter fence along the freeway, VVNG reports. The car went on to collide head-on with a gray Nissan SUV in the northbound lanes of the I-15 Freeway, the CHP report said.

Paramedics with the Victorville City Fire Department responded to the scene.

The young man suffered major injuries and died before he could be taken to a hospital.

Meanwhile, a second person was trapped in the wreckage and required extrication.

Two people were taken by ground ambulances to local hospitals for treatment of undisclosed injuries.

Meanwhile, the cause of the accident remains under investigation by the Victorville Police Department.
