Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle in West Rancho Dominguez/South LA

WEST RANCHO DOMINGUEZ, Calif. (Dec. 3, 2024) — A fatal pedestrian accident happened Tuesday morning at East Compton Boulevard and South San Pedro Street in the West Rancho Dominguez area of Los Angeles.

The traffic accident occurred at 4:56 a.m. on Dec. 3rd, in South Los Angeles, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported a driver struck the pedestrian due to unknown circumstances. The victim went down in the westbound lanes of E. Compton Blvd., and the left-turn lane on northbound San Pedro Street.

Paramedics from the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to help the injured person, but unfortunately they died at the scene.

An investigation is underway to determine fault for the pedestrian accident on Compton Boulevard.
