Bicyclist Struck, Killed on Stony Point Road in Rohnert Park

ROHNERT PARK, Calif. (Dec. 10, 2024) — A fatal bicycle accident happened early Tuesday on Stony Point Road and the Rohnert Park Expressway in Sonoma County.

The deadly collision occurred at around 3:18 a.m. on Dec. 10th, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch log.

CHP officials reported a driver in a Toyota struck the bicyclist in the roadway due to unknown circumstances.

The Rohnert Park Police Department and paramedics responded to the scene where they located the victim deceased and the Toyota with moderate front-end damage.

Traffic lanes reopened by 6:07 a.m. and investigators are working to determine liability for the bicycle accident on Stony Point Road in Sonoma County.
