Fatal Pedestrian Accident Gilbert Street, Katella Avenue in Anaheim
Pedestrian Struck, Killed in La Colonia Independencia Area
ANAHEIM, Calif. (Dec. 23, 2024) – A driver struck and killed a pedestrian Sunday night on Gilbert Street in the unincorporated La Colonia Independencia area near Anaheim.
The traffic collision occurred around 7:17 p.m. on Dec. 22nd, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The motorist struck the victim near 10911 Gilbert Street, just north of Katella Avenue, the CHP report said.
The pedestrian suffered severe injuries and died at the scene of the collision.
The Orange County coroner’s office has not released the person’s name.
