Tehachapi Pedestrian Accident Highway 202, Cummings Valley Road

Major Injury Crash on West Valley Boulevard

TEHACHAPI, Calif. (Jan. 23, 2025) — A major injury pedestrian accident in Tehachapi happened Wednesday night on Highway 202 also known as West Valley Boulevard.

The California Highway Patrol reported the crash occurred around 9:24 p.m. on Jan. 22nd, 2025, near Cummings Valley Road.

Paramedics responded to help the injured person and requested the roadway be closed so a helicopter could land. The victim was airlifted to a trauma center for treatment of undisclosed injuries.

Investigators are working to determine the cause of the pedestrian accident on Highway 202.
