Major Crash on SR-183/Castroville Road

CASTROVILLE, Calif. (Jan. 29, 2025) — A major car accident happened Wednesday afternoon on state Route 183 at Espinosa Road in Castroville.

The traffic collision occurred around 2:37 p.m. on Jan. 29th, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.

The CHP Monterey station responded to the scene and closed down a portion of state route 183 between Espinosa and Cooper roads.

Caltrans District 5 reported the closure was made due to an incident involving a vehicle.
