Maria Paredes Killed in Fresno Pedestrian Accident on Clinton Avenue
Woman, 74, Killed in Fresno Crash on Clinton Avenue Near Bond Street
FRESNO, CA (March 18, 2025) – Maria Paredes, 74, of Fresno, died Saturday in a pedestrian accident on Clinton Avenue, just east of Bond Street in Fresno.
The traffic accident occurred on March 15, 2025, at approximately 5:30 a.m., according to a press release by the California Highway Patrol – Fresno.
CHP officers responded to the vehicle versus pedestrian collision on Clinton Avenue involving a driver in a Toyota Avalon.
The 75-year-old woman driving the Toyota was westbound on Clinton Avenue and the 74-year-old pedestrian was using a walker to cross the roadway.
The pedestrian was in the westbound lanes in a darkened area of the roadway when she was struck by the vehicle, police said.
Upon impact, the woman suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
Meanwhile, the woman driving the Toyota stopped at the scene and called 911 for help.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault with the full cooperation of the motorist.
