Ivan Johnson, 21, Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Interstate 5 Freeway in San Diego
Seaside Man Identified as Crash Victim
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (March 25, 2025) — Ivan Isaiah Johnson, 21, of Seaside, died Thursday in a motorcycle crash on the Interstate 5 Freeway, just north of the Pacific Highway on ramp in San Diego.
The young man was riding a motorcycle when he was hit by an SUV in a two-vehicle crash at 5:55 p.m. on March 20th, according to the San Diego Medical Examiner.
The deadly crash occurred in the southbound lanes of the I-5 Freeway. The motorcyclist was riding a Kawasaki southbound when a Nissan SUV collided with him as it merged into his lane. The rider was thrown off his bike into the roadway.
Paramedics responded, but unfortunately he died from multiple blunt force injuries at the scene around 6:15 p.m., the report said.
Investigators from the California Highway Patrol are working on the case.
