CORNING: Major Crash Houghton Avenue and Loleta Avenue
AT&T Truck, Car Collide at Corning Intersection
CORNING, Calif. (March 26, 2025) — A major injury crash involving an AT&T semi-truck happened in Corning on Wednesday morning at Houghton Avenue and Loleta Avenue.
The traffic accident occurred around 9:42 a.m. on March 26th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a white Dodge Challenger and the semi-truck collided at the intersection due to unknown circumstances. The car had major front-end damage from the accident and both its driver and a passenger suffered injuries.
Paramedics from Cal Fire transported both people to a hospital and at least one had major injuries.
Meanwhile, a tow truck removed the heavily damaged Dodge from the roadway.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the collision. The report did not mention what direction the vehicles were traveling in, but this intersection is controlled by a stop sign for traffic entering Houghton Avenue. However, there are no stop signs for drivers on Houghton Avenue.
“Our thoughts and prayers extend to those injured in the Corning crash on Houghton Avenue,” said Attorney James Johnson.
Witnesses should contact the CHP directly.
