Six Injured in Police SUV Crash in Huntington Beach on Beach Boulevard
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (March 28, 2025) – Six people were injured Sunday night in a crash on Beach Boulevard in Huntington Beach involving a police SUV and a black Kia sedan.
The two-vehicle collision occurred around 10:14 p.m. on March 23rd, according to the Huntington Beach Police Department and KTLA.
It happened at the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Williams Drive, the report said. An on-duty police officer in a marked SUV collided broadside with the passenger side of a black Kia sedan, the report said.
Paramedics responded due to the mass casualty incident and at least five people including the officer were treated for injuries and taken to a hospital.
The southbound police SUV crashed into the side of the northbound Kia as it made a left-hand turn or U-turn at the intersection. The cop car had front-end damage and the Kia had side damage and were towed from the scene.
Police did not mention if the police officer had their lights and sirens on at the time of the accident.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the crash in Huntington Beach.
