Head-on Crash Highway 395 and North Red Rock Road in Lassen County

SUV, Truck and Horse Trailer Collide Near CA-NV Border
LASSEN COUNTY, Calif. (April 7, 2025) — A head-on crash involving a truck and horse trailer happened Monday on Highway 395 and North Red Rock Road near the California-Nevada border.
The two-vehicle collision occurred around 9:37 a.m. on April 7th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a white Ford F-350 pickup truck and horse trailer collided with a Toyota RAV4 SUV.
A silver Honda was also stopped in the northbound lanes, but it doesn’t appear to be involved.
Paramedics responded to help at least one person injured in the crash on Highway 395.
A tow truck removed the Toyota due to major front-end damage.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the accident. Police believe one of the vehicles might have been exiting off Red Rock Road, but the case remains an ongoing investigation.
