Fatal Crash State Route 247 and Barstow Road in Lucerne Valley
Deadly Crash at Lucerne Valley Intersection
LUCERNE VALLEY, Calif. (April 8, 2025) — One person died in a crash involving a big rig and a sedan Monday night at State Route 247 and Barstow Road in Lucerne Valley.
The collision, which happened around 9:24 p.m. on April 7, 2025, happened near the popular Cafe 247 restaurant.
A black, newer-model four-door sedan reportedly crashed underneath the semi-truck’s 50-foot box trailer, according to Victor Valley News Group.
San Bernardino County Fire responded and confirmed the death of one person, but their identity has not been released.
The California Highway Patrol report stated the semi-truck was carrying non-hazardous materials.
Authorities requested the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Division respond due to the fatality.
